RUTH BRONWEN

Ruth Bronwen is originally from the Boston area and received her early training and performance experience with the Boston Ballet. She graduated from UMASS Boston summa cum laude with a B.A. in English and Dance, where she began exploring and performing her own work. Ruth has since performed for a number of companies and individuals including Kinodance, Marcus Schulkind and Northern Ballet Theatre. Important teachers and influences include Lorraine Chapman, Tatiana Legat, Marcus Schulkind and Anne Tolbert. She is blessed to count among her working relationships Contrapose Dance, Kinodance, Lorraine Chapman/The Company and Marcus Schulkind.

Ruth currently performs with Jose Mateo's Ballet Theatre, continues to choreograph and perform independently, and is pleased to be a guest artist in Contrapose Dance's exciting premiere.
